What we do..
Parents as Teachers (PAT) helps parents in providing their little ones with every opportunity for success.
Parents as Teachers is an evidenced based in-home visiting program that helps parents through support and knowledge. Each family that enrolls in the program is assigned a Parent Educator who brings them activities that are developmentally appropriate for their children, books to encourage literacy, information about key parenting topics, and connections to resources. Parent Educators will also help families set and reach goals and invite them to group connections where parents and kids can interact with others who face similar struggles and joys of family life.
How can I become a part of Parents as Teachers?
The program is free to any family with children before school age. There are no income guidelines or restrictions thanks to support from the United Way of the Laurel Highlands. For more information or to sign up for the program please contact Nicole Fitzgerald at nfitzgerald@beginningsinc.org or by phone at 814-244-9530. You can also click the link below to apply!
