Educational Background: Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology at the University Of Pittsburgh
Years in Profession: 8
About Me: Outside of being a pediatric speech language pathologist, my life revolves around my family and close friends. I grew up in a small town, approx. 25 minutes outside of Johnstown, and I continue to reside there. I have 3 young children who I adore and a hardworking husband who is a restaurant owner. We spend most of our free time playing with our kids and spending time with our extended family.
What I like best about the work I do: There are so many different reasons to enjoy being an early intervention SLP. If I had to pick one, it would have to be watching a parent/caregiver hear their child call them by name (mama, dada, etc) for the first time. The ability to work alongside the child’s family and experience their highs (and sometimes lows) allows me to truly appreciate the difference my job makes in another person(s) life.
